AIS: See and be seen

Automatic Identification System (AIS) is an automated tracking system that transmits via an onboard antenna. Whilst some offshore races require AIS, there is currently no requirement for pleasure craft to fit an AIS system. However, many yachts, especially those venturing further offshore, sailing at night or in areas of reduced visibility find AIS a valuable aid to help avoid potential collisions. Some of our VHFs already include AIS receivers or even transmitters, or you can fit our compact, fully featured NAIS-500 AIS transponder. For the ultimate simple installation, pair it with a NSPL antenna splitter to utilise your existing VHF antenna.
