This filter is for connection to the vent tube at the end of the transducer cable and protects the electronics from humidity during operation. To connect, please follow these instructions. 1.) Remove the yellow cap from the desiccant filter. 2.) Fit the clear flexible tube supplied with the desiccant ¬filter to the vent tube in the transducer cable. 3.) Remove the second yellow cap from the desiccant filter and mount the desiccant ¬filter somewhere inside the enclosure. The desiccant material is blue. As moisture is filtered, the material turns pink. The desiccant should be changed when pink is the predominant color in the tube. All situations will be different so periodic checking is best to determine when to change to a fresh
