Description
The ideal basic autopilot system
- Includes Compact Reactor 40 CCU and ECU units, pump and other autopilot components that need to be added to the compatible plotter
- Recommended only for single-engine outboard boats of less than 9 meters in length1
- 9-axis solid-state course and position reference system (AHRS)
- It reduces course errors, route deviation, rudder movement and energy consumption, while offering a comfortable trip
- Simple commissioning and calibration
With the Compact Reactor 40 hydraulic autopilot, designed for boats less than 9 meters in length, it is no longer necessary to manually hold the rudder to stay the course, especially at high and cruising speeds1. Sit at the helm and enjoy your time in the water while 9-axis solid-state AHRS technology offers a comfortable trip.
Available in 3 different corepacks, this autopilot allows you to configure its layout based on the necessary functions and the available budget. Purchase the starter package (requires compatible plotter2), add a GHC™ 20 nautical autopilot control unit, or add both GHC 20 and Shadow Drive™.
The autopilot is easy to install, with different mounting options and an easy and fast start-up. Choose the corepack with our patented Shadow Drive technology and you will only have to turn the rudder to have control again; to reactivate it, keep a fixed course. It is integrated with Garmin's compatible electronics to control the autopilot from the plotter screen. In addition, it can be activated to follow an AutoRuta3 route (requires BlueChart® g3 cards).
9-axis solid-state AHRS technology
With advanced 9-axis solid-state AHRS technology, Compact Reactor 40 offers more flexible mounting options. In addition, this new system significantly reduces course errors, route deviation, rudder movement and energy consumption, while offering a comfortable trip for all passengers.
Ability to react to the state of the sea
In fact, this excellent autopilot responds to the state of the sea to stay the course. Even when pitching and swinging movements occur, the Reactor 40 autopilot guarantees that you maintain the desired course.
Simple commissioning and calibration
All autopilots, without exception, require a commissioning and calibration process. We know that what you want is to get into the water, that's why we have streamlined and simplified this process as much as possible. That's what the concept "The Power of Simple" consists of.
Full integration with Garmin electronic products
By combining it with our compatible networked electronic products, you can have full control over the Compact Reactor 40 unit from anywhere on the boat. The system is capable of maintaining the course in practically all types of weather and wind conditions, as well as carrying out a series of pre-programmed procedures for fishing for fishing and searching in a fluid way. In addition, thanks to the optional optional BlueChart g3 Vision cards (sold separately), you will get industry-leading coverage, clarity and level of detail, with updated coastal charts that include integrated content from Garmin and Navionics®.
Stay in control with Shadow Drive technology
The Compact Reactor 40 autopilot is compatible with the optional patented Shadow Drive technology. This gives you the security of knowing that you will maintain control even with the autopilot activated. The Shadow Drive system automatically deactivates the autopilot if the rudder is turned, giving you the freedom to maneuver the ship. The autopilot is automatically reactivated when a fixed course is maintained.
Connection to networked devices
Compact Reactor 40 can be controlled directly from the screen of a Garmin1 compatible plotter or by using up to 3 GHC rudder control units. The GHC unit communicates with the autopilot system through the NMEA 2000® network so that the autopilot's direction data can be easily shared with other devices. This enables MARPA and the superimposition of cards when there is a connection with a plotter and a Garmin radar. There is an optional wireless remote control available.
