What tools are needed for installing the quick release plate system?
You will need a drill with a 11/32 in. (9 mm) drill bit, #3 and #4 Phillips screwdrivers, 7/16 in. and 1/2 in. sockets, a torque wrench, and possibly stainless steel bolts if the included ones are not long enough.
How do I print and use the mounting template correctly?
Use only the template included in the product box, and if printing, ensure paper size is adequate and scaling is 100% to avoid incorrect cutouts.
How do I lock the quick release mount handle?
Install the handle into the mount, then use the R-clip or a padlock with a 1/4 in (6.35 mm) or smaller shackle to lock it in place.
Where should I install the quick release plate on my boat?
The quick release plate must be installed on the bow of your boat with the mount overhanging the gunwale.
How do I secure the quick release plate to the deck?
Secure the plate using the included bolts, washers, and nuts, and tighten to a torque of 14.9 N-m (11 lbf-ft.).
What must I consider about deck strength for mounting?
The deck must be sufficiently strong for the motor’s weight and force. Use a backing plate or reinforce as needed.
What is the recommended torque for securing the motor to the quick release mount?
Tighten all six nuts to 10.85 N-m (8 lbf-ft.) when securing the motor to the quick release mount.
