At the beginning of the day, Harken's easy-lowering fat-head headboard battcar eliminates the need for a crewmember to climb above the mainsail stack to manually attach the halyard. At the end of the day, this unique car allows the headboard to separate and the top gaff batten to lower in a horizontal plane where it can be tied and stored under a standard boom cover.
