The right tool for targeting the habitats of swordfish, tuna, and other deep-water species is a 2–3 kW low and medium frequency transducer. The CHIRP-ready R509LM delivers low-frequency performance in deep water down to 3,048 m (10,000'), along with the detailed returns produced by the narrower beams of the medium band.

CHIRP technology provides 5 to 10 times greater detail and resolution than conventional frequencies. The R509LM transmits across a low-frequency bandwidth of 28 to 60 kHz and operates in the medium frequency range of 80 to 130 kHz. This transducer offers up to 82 kHz of total bandwidth in a single installation.
