Overview
CB adjustable genoa lead cars feature recirculating Torlon® ball bearings for easy adjustment under full sheet loads. Stainless steel sheave carriers pivot 60 degrees to accommodate changing lead angles. Wide sheave holds two sheets during sail changes. Sheave carriers feature high-performance sheaves with roller bearings to handle radial loads, while sideload balls handle thrust loads for easy trimming and fore-and-aft adjustment. Cars feature car-mounted, sleeve-bearing control blocks for strength and durability. All CB genoa lead cars are compatible with Harken end controls. Kits are available for purchase upgrades up to 4:1. Torlon is a registered trademark of Solvay Advanced Polymers L.L.C.

Every installation must include Harken track endstops. Arrange tackle so cars do not hit endstops under load.
What should you do if any ball bearings are lost during installation?

How do you attach a splice to the deadend on car or controls?
Loosen one deadend eyestrap screw, remove the other, rotate bail to capture splice loop, and reinstall screws with threadlocker.
How do you clean and maintain the CB genoa lead car?
Clean by flushing with fresh water. Periodically use detergent/water solution and roll car to distribute. Do not use spray lubricants.
Are CB cars compatible with older Harken tracks?
CB cars are shipped for use on CB track made after 2003 with grooves for retaining clips. See manual if you have older track.
What is the guidance for using teak cleaners or caustic solutions?
Exposure to some teak cleaners and caustic solutions can discolor parts and is not covered under warranty.
What should you do if the car does not roll easily onto the track?
Check that you are using CB track, as cars won't roll unless they have retaining clips. Do not remove the ball retaining wires.
Can CB+ cars be converted to run on non-CB tracks?
CB+ cars can convert to run on old-style, non-CB track. Requires CB+ type and specific instructions.
Is there a specific procedure for removing or loading ball bearings into CB cars?
Removals: Push one ball at a time from the retaining clip center. Loading: Gently load one ball at a time with clip in place.
What should you avoid using as a lubricant on ball bearings?
Do not use spray lubricants, as they can cause ball bearings to skid instead of roll.
