Harken Fly Soft-Attach Blocks
Harken soft-attach Fly blocks are designed to provide strength without mass, providing sailors with big power in a low-aero package. Designed specifically for high-tech line, these efficient blocks have an incredible working load for their small size. Fly blocks are perfect for use on foiling dinghies and sportboats and for vang cascades and backstay systems on Grand-Prix racers.
The first Fly blocks were designed especially for Moth sailors who wanted a block that could withstand their new vang load requirements in a 29mm package. The 29mms have 350KG ( 770lb) working loads. That’s 1.5X what a Harken classic block twice its size can deliver.
All Fly Blocks use stainless steel ball bearings so they’re hard and really hard to crush. Pull hard on the vang when you need the main to be flat.
29mm and 40mm Fly blocks offer combination of outer-race/sheave made from titanium.
