The new Twing block features a spring loaded side opening mechanism for true one-handed rigging, even while wearing sailing gloves. Black anodized aluminum sideplates are edged with robust bumpers to protect the block, topsides, and deck. The sheave is aluminum rolling on a bearing system shared with Harken's existing 2.3T high-load snatch block.

How should the sheave be cleaned for proper maintenance?

Spin the sheave to distribute soap solution into sideload balls and main bearing, then flush with fresh water.

How do I install and rig the One Ton Twing Block?

Hold the block in one hand and press the release button with your index finger. Place the sheet, close and latch the sideplate, and listen for an audible click.

How should I maintain and clean the twing block?

Clean the release button, sheave, and hinge base with mild detergent and water. Do not use lubricants in the sheave.

What is a key safety warning during use?

Make sure the sideplate is latched before loading. Do not load sheave when sideplate is unlatched.

How is the sheave designed for strength and performance?

The block uses a ULC main bearing for smooth turning under extreme loading and sideload balls for loaded alignment.

Can I load the anti-capsize bar directly?

Do not load the anti-capsize bar to secure loaded control line or sheet. Use the thimble and sheave for loaded lines.

Can the twing block be used with a soft shackle?

Yes, it can be used as a snatch block when combined with a soft shackle.

What options are available for up-down control rigging?

For 1:1 control, splice or knot to the thimble at the pivot base. For 2:1 control, use a control line around the thimble at the pivot base.

Is it possible to use larger sheets with this block?

If the sheet is larger than 8 mm, remove the anti-capsize bar to allow a larger sheet to be used.

What is the purpose of the anti-capsize bar and can it be removed?

The anti-capsize bar keeps the sheave aligned. It can be removed if the up-down control is 1:1 and a spliced eye is used.

Can I adjust the friction for opening and closing the sideplates?

Yes, the friction can be adjusted by changing the tension on the adjusting nut. Avoid loosening it excessively.

Which payment methods are accepted in the Online Shop?

We accept credit and debit cards, PayPal and also Apple Pay.

You can also pay by bank transfer, selecting this payment method when checkout. Once the order has been placed without paying money, in the next screen we will provide you the bank information required for the transfer.

How long will delivery take?

We only use first-class delivery carriers, like UPS and DHL. There's a "Express Delivery" option for many shipping destinations available.

It should not take more than 2-4 days to any European location, 3-6 days to any USA-based location, and 3-7 days worldwide.

When you've placed your order, you can follow-up the shipping on the "My Account" section, with detail information about parcel status.

We will also notify you by email or SMS continously about each shipping activity.
