Shipping & Delivery Policy

At SailRACE we know that reliable delivery is critical for skippers, crews and technical teams. This Shipping & Delivery Policy explains how we handle shipping, delivery times and related conditions for orders placed on sailrace.com.

By placing an order on our website, you agree to the terms described below, in addition to our Terms & Conditions and Right of Withdrawal policy.


1. Shipping origins & destinations

  • Orders are processed and shipped from our logistics operations in Spain (European Union).

  • We ship to:

    • European Union & United Kingdom

    • United States of America

    • Most international destinations worldwide

We do not ship to countries or territories that are subject to comprehensive trade or export sanctions or other restrictions imposed by the European Union and/or the United States where shipping is not legally permitted.

If your country does not appear at checkout, please contact us so we can verify options and, where possible, provide a manual quote.

Certain brands or products may be restricted in some territories due to manufacturer distribution agreements. Any such restrictions will be indicated during checkout or communicated by our team.


2. Order processing times

  • For in-stock products, orders are normally processed and handed over to the carrier on the next business day after payment confirmation.

  • Orders placed on weekends or Spanish public holidays are processed on the next business day.

  • Orders containing special-order, configured or custom items may require additional processing time. Any extended lead time will be shown on the product page or communicated by email.

Processing time is separate from carrier transit time.


3. Estimated delivery times (transit)

We work with first-class international carriers and aim for fast delivery to all destinations.

From the moment your order is dispatched, typical carrier transit times are:

  • European Union & UK: 2–4 business days

  • USA: 3–6 business days

  • Rest of the world: 3–7 business days

These timeframes are based on carrier estimates under normal conditions. Actual delivery times may vary depending on destination, customs processing, remote areas, weather conditions, strikes or peak periods (such as Black Friday or Christmas).


4. Carriers & shipping methods

We only work with first-class carriers, currently including:

  • UPS

  • DHL

The available shipping methods (for example, Standard or Express) and their prices are calculated and displayed at checkout, based on:

  • Shipping destination

  • Total weight and volume of the order

  • Chosen service level (when more than one is available)

For some oversized, heavy or special-handling items, standard shipping rates may not apply. In those cases we may need to confirm the shipping cost manually (see section 7).


5. Shipping costs & no free shipping policy

  • Shipping is not free by default.

  • Shipping costs are always calculated at checkout according to the destination, total weight/volume and selected service.

  • If we run specific free-shipping promotions or product-specific shipping offers, they will be clearly indicated on the product page and/or at checkout, and will be subject to their own conditions.


6. Taxes, duties & import charges (Incoterm: DAP)

Shipments within the European Union

Orders shipped within the European Union are generally invoiced with Spanish VAT, in accordance with applicable EU regulations.

The final price (including VAT where applicable) is shown at checkout.

Shipments outside the European Union

For shipments to countries outside the EU, the customer pays both taxes and import duties at the time of placing the order, and this will be indicated during checkout.


7. Bulky, heavy or freight shipments

Some products (such as large radars, masts, heavy winches, racks or large multi-item orders) may be considered bulky or heavy freight.

In these cases:

  • The website may not be able to calculate an accurate shipping cost automatically, or

  • We may need to adjust the shipping method to ensure safe and insured transport.

For such orders:

  1. You will be able to complete the order with an estimated freight cost or with “To be confirmed”.

  2. Our team will review the order and contact you to:

    • Confirm the exact freight cost and carrier/service; or

    • Propose alternative options if needed.

  3. You may then:

    • Accept the quoted freight cost and shipping method; or

    • Cancel the order before dispatch, in which case we will refund any payments made.


8. Customer’s own carrier

If you prefer to use your own carrier or shipping account, please contact us before placing the order or immediately after checkout, providing:

  • Name of your chosen carrier

  • Account number and service level

  • Any specific pickup instructions (dates, time windows, required documents, etc.)

When a customer’s own carrier is used:

  • The transport contract is between you and your carrier.

  • SailRACE will prepare and hand over the goods as agreed.

  • From the moment of handover, the risk and cost of transport are borne by the customer.


9. Delivery to marinas, shipyards & yachts in transit

Many of our shipments are destined for marinas, shipyards and yachts in transit.

To minimise delays or issues, please provide:

  • Full name of the boat, project or regatta

  • Marina / shipyard name

  • Berth number, dock or pier, where applicable

  • A local contact name and mobile phone number

  • Any special delivery instructions, such as:

    • Port office opening hours

    • Security gate or access requirements

    • Required references to include on the parcel label

Our team and logistics partners will proactively communicate shipment status by email and/or SMS, so you can coordinate with your port or local agents.


10. Tracking your order

As soon as your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email including:

  • Carrier name (UPS, DHL, etc.)

  • Tracking number and/or tracking link

You can track your order:

  • Using the tracking link provided by the carrier.

  • Through the “My Account” section of our website (for registered customers).

If you have not received tracking information within 2 business days after placing an order for in-stock products, please contact our support team so we can check the status.


11. Undeliverable packages & address issues

A shipment may be returned to us as undeliverable in cases such as:

  • Incorrect or incomplete shipping address

  • Repeated unsuccessful delivery attempts by the carrier

  • Refusal of the shipment by the recipient

  • Uncollected parcels at pickup points or customs warehouses within the specified period

  • Customs or regulatory issues preventing final delivery

When a package is returned to SailRACE:

  • We will contact you to propose reshipment (additional shipping charges may apply); or

  • Upon your request, we may cancel the order and refund the product price, excluding:

    • Original shipping costs, and

    • Any return charges or customs costs billed to us by the carrier.

To avoid delays and extra costs, please ensure that your shipping data is correct and that someone is available to receive the order.


12. Damaged, missing or incorrect items

We take great care in packing and supervising each shipment. If, upon delivery, you observe:

  • Visible external damage to the package,

  • Missing items in the parcel, or

  • Incorrect products compared to your order,

please:

  1. Note the issue on the carrier’s delivery document whenever possible.

  2. Take clear photos of the outer packaging, shipping label and contents.

  3. Contact us at team@sailrace.com within 3–5 business days of delivery, including:

    • Your order number,

    • A brief description of the issue, and

    • The photos mentioned above.

We will analyse the case and coordinate with you and the carrier to repair, replace or refund in accordance with the circumstances and applicable law.


13. Returns & Right of Withdrawal (summary)

Your Right of Withdrawal and the detailed returns procedure are described in full in our Terms & Conditions.

In summary (non-exhaustive):

  • For consumers, law generally provides a 14-day withdrawal period from the date you receive the goods (with the usual legal exceptions, for example: custom-made products, quickly perishable goods, sealed hygiene-sensitive products once opened, etc.). sailrace.com

  • Unless otherwise stated or required by law, the customer bears the cost of returning the goods.

  • Returns must be sent to our logistics address in Castellón, Spain, as indicated in the Terms & Conditions and the return instructions.

Before returning any item, please contact us so we can provide the correct procedure and, where applicable, an RMA reference so your return can be processed efficiently.


14. No local pickup

At present, we do not offer local pickup options at our offices or logistics facilities.
All orders are dispatched via courier / freight services only.
