When is an isolation kit required for the hull material?

An isolation kit is required for wooden hull, metal hull, or carbon fibre installations.

What safety step should I take before starting installation?

Disconnect or isolate the vessel’s power source and battery before installation.

Are the electrical connections plug-and-play?

Yes. The datasheet lists the electrical installation as plug-and-play connections.

Can I install or remove the light while the boat is in the water?

No. The installation guide explicitly says never to install or remove the light with the vessel in the water.

Are there mounting location constraints (curved hulls, etc.)?

Yes. It must be installed on a flat (not curved) surface, mounted on transom or side hull only.

Any cautions about cleaning the mounting area or sealant compatibility?

Yes. The guide says not to use an alcohol-based solvent, as it may adversely affect the sealant.

Do electrical connections need to be waterproof?

Yes. The wiring diagram notes all connections must be made waterproof, using a suitable junction box or waterproof connectors.

What warranty period is stated for the THX1604?

The datasheet lists a 3-year warranty.

How tight should the retaining bolts be torqued?

Do not overtighten. The guide states a force of 3Nm / 26 in-lbs on each bolt should not be exceeded.

What is the water ingress protection rating?

The datasheet lists the water ingress protection rating as IP68.

How long will delivery take?

We only use first-class delivery carriers, like UPS and DHL. There's an "Express Delivery" option for many shipping destinations available.

It should not take more than 2-4 days to any European location, 3-6 days to any USA-based location, and 3-7 days worldwide.

When you've placed your order, you can follow-up the shipping on the "My Account" section, with detail information about parcel status.

We will also notify you by email or SMS continously about each shipping activity.
