Compatibility with autopilot
This autopilot for outboard motor works on small boats with a gasoline outboard engine of up to 25 horsepower1.
Stay on the course
Whether you want to fish for your favorite species or if you simply want to go out with the sailboat from the marina, this autopilot helps you maintain control of the course so as not to deviate from the route, even with wind, waves or strong currents.
EASY-TO-USE Remote control
The Reactor 40 autopilot for outboard motor includes a practical floating remote control with a bright screen and readable in sunlight. It allows you to quickly and easily control the configuration of the accelerator, as well as put the engine in idle when throwing the nets or when reaching the mooring.
Ghc 50 optional pack
Combine the Reactor 40 autopilot with the GHC 50 autopilot instrument to add a specific autopilot touch screen to the control bridge. In addition, GHC 50 allows you to share data and settings with Garmin multifunction displays and other Garmin devices installed.

Who should install the Reactor 40 Autopilot system?
The autopilot system should be installed by a qualified marine installer with knowledge of marine steering and electrical systems.
Is this system compatible with Garmin's Shadow Drive valve?
This autopilot system is not compatible with the Shadow Drive valve; you must disable it after setup to avoid errors.
What should be avoided during compass calibration?
Keep the boat steady and flat; avoid listing or unbalanced loading during compass calibration for best accuracy.
What configuration wizards must be run during setup?
You must run the Dockside Wizard and the Sea Trial Wizard to configure the autopilot for your boat.
Can the Dockside Wizard be performed with the boat out of water?
Yes, you can complete the Dockside Wizard while the boat is in or out of the water. If afloat, the boat must remain stationary.
Can gain and tuning settings be adjusted manually?
Gain and acceleration limiter settings can be manually adjusted after running wizards for fine-tuning autopilot behavior.
How can you select a preferred data source for sensors?
You can select a preferred source for each data category via the helm control or chartplotter in the Preferred Sources menu.
Are there specific warnings about hot or moving parts?
Beware of hot surfaces on heat-sink, motor, and solenoid components; also, beware of entrapment or pinching from moving parts.
