FAQs
What tools and supplies are needed for installation?
Basic hand tools, wire cutters, cable ties, marine sealant, and hydraulic hose/fittings are needed. Refer to the provided list in the manual.
Can the ECU cables to the pump be extended during installation?
No, the cables connecting the ECU to the pump cannot be extended. The ECU must be mounted close enough to the pump for the supplied cables to reach.
Is the ECU waterproof and can it be submerged?
The ECU should not be submerged or exposed to wash down during installation.
What key safety precautions should be taken during installation?
To avoid injury and boat damage, installation should be done by a qualified marine installer, and proper safety gear like goggles should be worn when drilling or cutting.
Where should the alarm be installed?
The alarm should be mounted near the primary helm station. If needed, the alarm wires can be extended with 28 AWG (0.08 mm2) wire.
What are the hydraulic port specifications for the pump?
The three hydraulic ports on the pump are 1/4 in. NPT. Use T-connectors and install shut-off valves for easy isolation and removal.
Where should the NMEA 2000 power cable connect for the system?
You must connect the NMEA 2000 power cable to a 9 to 16 Vdc power source, and only install this cable if building a new NMEA 2000 network.
Can the Shadow Drive sensor be installed vertically?
No, the Shadow Drive sensor must be mounted horizontally and as level as possible, with cable ties firmly securing it in place.
Are mounting screws included for the ECU?
Yes, mounting screws are included, but you may need different screws for your mounting surface.
What are the mounting constraints for the Shadow Drive sensor?
Mount the sensor horizontally, as level as possible, at least 305 mm (12 in.) away from magnetic materials or devices.
Is a dedicated helm control included in every autopilot package?
A dedicated helm control is not included in all autopilot packages. If not, a compatible Garmin chartplotter must be used for control and configuration.

We only use first-class delivery carriers, like UPS and DHL. There's an "Express Delivery" option for many shipping destinations available.
It should not take more than 2-4 days to any European location, 3-6 days to any USA-based location, and 3-7 days worldwide.
When you've placed your order, you can follow-up the shipping on the "My Account" section, with detail information about parcel status.
We will also notify you by email or SMS continously about each shipping activity.
