WDU is a web server unit that distributes rich custom graphics to any HTML5-compatible device. The WDU device allows you to control and monitor any EmpirBus system through a user interface fully optimized for its purpose and compatible with our GPSMAP® multifunction touch screens for the control bridge. HTML5 pages and applications can be configured graphically without limits, and they work perfectly with the EmpiriBus software.
The WDU device, which works through an NMEA 2000® network, works at Ethernet speeds (GMN circular connector) for HTML5 distribution. It also offers optional connectivity for wireless connections through Wi-Fi® technology. This is how compatible smartphones and tablets can be used as control devices for the EmpirBus switching system.

How should the product be grounded during installation?

Do not open the unit or remove its casing as this will compromise its seal and void the manufacturer’s warranty.
Can the unit be installed near strong sources of electromagnetic interference?
Where possible, separate the product and the source of interference by a greater distance to minimize effects on performance.
What should be done before modifying or updating the installed equipment?
Any modification should be risk assessed, validated at commissioning, and added to the conformity assessment to ensure system integrity.
How should power supply protection be implemented?
The power source should be protected with an appropriately rated fuse or automatic circuit breaker for safety.
Where can users find software updates and handbooks for the product?
The latest software releases and handbooks are available for download from the EmpirBus website.
Should the device be powered from the engine start battery?
No, the product should be powered from a separate battery, not the engine start battery, to prevent erratic behavior or data loss.

We only use first-class delivery carriers, like UPS and DHL. There's an "Express Delivery" option for many shipping destinations available.
It should not take more than 2-4 days to any European location, 3-6 days to any USA-based location, and 3-7 days worldwide.
When you've placed your order, you can follow-up the shipping on the "My Account" section, with detail information about parcel status.
We will also notify you by email or SMS continously about each shipping activity.
