Compatibility with autopilot
This autopilot for outboard motor works on small boats with a gasoline outboard engine of up to 25 horsepower1.
Stay on the course
Whether you want to fish for your favorite species or if you simply want to go out with the sailboat from the marina, this autopilot helps you maintain control of the course so as not to deviate from the route, even with wind, waves or strong currents.
EASY-TO-USE Remote control
The Reactor 40 autopilot for outboard motor includes a practical floating remote control with a bright screen and readable in sunlight. It allows you to quickly and easily control the configuration of the accelerator, as well as put the engine in idle when throwing the nets or when reaching the mooring.
Ghc 50 optional pack
Combine the Reactor 40 autopilot with the GHC 50 autopilot instrument to add a specific autopilot touch screen to the control bridge. In addition, GHC 50 allows you to share data and settings with Garmin multifunction displays and other Garmin devices installed.

What wiring should not be cut during installation?
The CCU cable must not be cut. If it cannot reach, use authorized extension cables instead.
What are the key safety warnings for installation and use?
The system should be installed by a qualified marine installer. Beware of hot surfaces, entrapment, and follow safety protocols.
What caution is given when drilling or cutting during installation?
Always check opposite sides before drilling to avoid damaging the vessel and wear safety goggles and dust mask.
How is the helm control connected if not present in the package?
If no dedicated helm control is included, connect the CCU to the same NMEA 2000 network as a compatible Garmin chartplotter.
Where should the alarm be installed?
The alarm should be installed near the primary helm station, and can be mounted under the dashboard if needed.
Is it necessary to use shut-off valves when connecting pump hydraulic lines?
You should install shut-off valves in the hydraulic lines between the pump manifold and T-connectors for easy isolation and removal.
What is the required power source for the Reactor 40 autopilot system?
The ECU must be connected to a 12 to 24 Vdc power source. The NMEA 2000 power cable is connected to a 9 to 16 Vdc source.
Are there specific mounting constraints for the ECU and pump?
The ECU must be within 0.5 m (19 in.) of the pump, and both must not be submerged or exposed to wash down. The pump should be mounted horizontally if possible.
How should I test for magnetic interference before mounting the CCU?
Use a handheld compass at the mounting site; if the needle moves over three degrees during testing, relocate to avoid interference.
Are the provided mounting screws optional?
Mounting screws are provided, but if not suitable, use the correct type for the surface, ensuring no magnetic interference with the CCU.
Can the CCU be mounted in any orientation?
Yes, you can mount the CCU in any orientation in a non-submerged location near the center of the boat. Avoid sources of magnetic interference.
