The compass-safe distance is 2.54 cm (1 in), so maintain at least this spacing from a compass during installation.
What mounting constraints should be considered during installation?

Why should the Bluetooth USB dongle have a clear line of sight?
The Bluetooth USB device needs a minimally obstructed line of sight to maintain a strong connection with a headset. Avoid placing it directly behind the chartplotter or metal panels, which can interfere with signal strength.
What is the wireless frequency and protocol used?
It operates at 2402 to 2480 MHz using Bluetooth 5.0.
How do you connect the Bluetooth USB device to the chartplotter?
You screw the USB cable into the micro USB port on the Garmin chartplotter and secure the end containing the Bluetooth USB device.
How many headsets can be paired at once?
Only one headset can be paired at a time with the Bluetooth dongle.
What safety warnings are given for using headsets?
Listening at high volume can cause hearing damage. If you experience ringing or muffled speech, stop and get your hearing checked.
