How should sealant be applied during installation?
Apply a continuous thick bead of sealant to the back of the light, slightly overfilling the outer recess, and also apply a bead around the cable gland.
Are there safety steps before starting installation?
Yes. Always ensure the vessel’s power source and battery are disconnected or isolated prior to installation.
How far below the waterline does Lumishore recommend mounting the light?
For best underwater illumination, Lumishore recommends mounting the light 4" to 12" (100–300 mm) below the minimum load water line.
Any special prep needed for installing the SMX154 on a cored hull?
Yes. Cored hulls must be sealed before fitting the lights; follow the hull manufacturer’s instructions.
What spacing is recommended when installing three or more lights?
When installing three or more lights, equal spacing of 2.5’–3’ is recommended for a consistent light pool.
Are there location restrictions regarding heat sources (exhaust, etc.)?
Yes. The light is temperature sensitive and must not be installed close to the exhaust outlet or other heat source.
What pilot hole size is specified for the mounting screws?
Drill pilot holes for the screws at 9/64 in (3.5 mm).
How many SMX154 lights can one EOS i-Connect Hub power?
One EOS i-Connect Hub can power up to 4 lights.
When can the boat be launched after sealing the light to the hull?
Wait until the sealant has fully cured before launching, following the sealant manufacturer’s directions.
How is the SMX154 mechanically fastened to the hull?
Attach the light using the 3 supplied screws by hand tightening with a screwdriver.

We only use first-class delivery carriers, like UPS and DHL. There's an "Express Delivery" option for many shipping destinations available.
It should not take more than 2-4 days to any European location, 3-6 days to any USA-based location, and 3-7 days worldwide.
When you've placed your order, you can follow-up the shipping on the "My Account" section, with detail information about parcel status.
We will also notify you by email or SMS continously about each shipping activity.
