Description
Overview
The newest Zircon offerings are six models with 29 mm sheave diameters. These expand the Zircon offering from eight models to eighteen. Zircon is not an all-purpose alternative—no block is. But these smaller sizes make Zircon appropriate for control lines where multi-part purchases are required. Zircon reacts immediately. So, when the pressure gets light and you ease that 24:1 Cunningham rigged under the deck or want to let the jib lead forward for some more power through the chop, you will get response.

FAQs
What additional maintenance resources are available?
For additional safety, maintenance, and warranty information, refer to the Harken catalog or manuals.
What should I inspect during routine maintenance of the block?
Inspect and replace any worn, UV damaged, or compromised splices on lashings and attachment loops.
How should I care for and maintain the Zircon block?
Clean the block and its attachments frequently with detergent and fresh water, ensuring the solution is applied into the sheave, bearings, and sideplate areas. Rotate the sheave while flushing with fresh water and inspect lashings for wear or UV damage.
Can I use a fully loaded separate system on the becket?
You should not use a fully loaded separate system. If adding a block to the becket, the load on the attached block must be no more than 1/3 of the upper block's load.
Are there any material or structural features of the block?
Sheave and sideplates are made from strong, reliable, fiber-reinforced composite material.
How should the Zircon block be attached for optimal safety?
The block should be lashed only through both cheeks so the lashing holds the block together. Do not lash along the seam, as this can split the block apart and lead to failure.
What safety step is needed if soft lashing is used to attach the block?
Inspect and replace any worn, UV damaged, or compromised splices on lashings and attachment loops regularly for safety.
What is the appropriate way to clean the Zircon block?
Use detergent and fresh water, applying into the sheave, ceramic bearings, and sideplate areas while rotating the sheave.
What type of bearings are used in this block’s sheave?
The sheaves use low friction ceramic bearings that are insert-molded.
How should the block be flushed after cleaning?
Flush with fresh water while rotating the sheave and other moving parts to distribute cleaning.
What should the head of the block be used for?
The block has a structural head designed for soft attachment, such as with lashings or loops.

Can I ask for a proforma invoice instead of purchasing online?
For companies following internal purchasing processes or for individuals who feel better purchasing following traditional, "offline" processes, our customers can always ask for a proforma invoice, detailing the items you're interested in, their quantities, and, optionally, providing the billing and shipping address, and a phone number, for a better shipping estimate and fastest delivery once purchased.
If you're interested in a proforma invoice, please use the following form.

It should not take more than 2-4 days to any European location, 3-6 days to any USA-based location, and 3-7 days worldwide.
