Get more coverage beneath your vessel with Airmar’s exclusive B175HW, a wide-beam, high-frequency, CHIRP-ready transducer.
The high-frequency band operates within a range of 150 to 250 kHz and features a fixed 25° beam across all frequencies. This high-frequency band delivers superior performance in shallow waters, providing excellent bottom detail and enhanced fish and target separation.
The consistently wide beam offers twice the coverage for detecting fish in the upper water column and produces clear fish arches on the display compared to most narrow-beam high-frequency transducers. The high-wide option is ideal for both coastal and pelagic fishing, where resolution and maximum coverage beneath the boat are essential down to 152 m (500').
Tilted Element™ transducers have the element fixed at an angle of 20°, 12°, or 0° within the housing. Because the transducer is installed nearly flush with the hull, the tilt compensates for the hull’s deadrise angle. This orients the ceramic element horizontally to ensure maximum echo return to the transducer.
The B175HW is available in three tilted element models:
