Yes, use the template that came in the product box. Printing your own is not recommended due to sizing accuracy.

Why should a thread-locking compound be used during propeller drive motor installation?

It helps maintain a tight connection between the shaft base and the motor, preventing water ingress and potential damage.

Why is grease used during the installation of gaskets and grommets?

Apply marine grease (included) to new gaskets or grommets to ease installation and ensure proper sealing.

How should cables be handled when removing or feeding during installation?

When removing the propeller drive motor, pull the cables themselves, not the connectors or the motor, to avoid damage.

Should only included hardware be used for LiveScope bracket installation?

Yes, only use included hardware to avoid possible damage and ensure proper functionality.

What should be done with removed screws and parts during installation?

Keep all screws and parts in a safe place for reassembly of the skeg and nose cone.

Does the propeller orientation change after LiveScope installation?

Once installed, the propeller can only face one direction when stowed. This cannot be changed after installation.

What tools are needed to install the LiveScope bracket to the Force Kraken?

You will need a #2 Phillips screwdriver, 2.5 mm, 5 mm, and 6 mm allen wrenches (some included), diagonal pliers, electrical tape, zip ties, grommet wrench (included), marine grease (included), and a torque wrench.

What key safety step should you take before installing or servicing the trolling motor?

Always disconnect the trolling motor from the battery before performing any service to avoid electrical shock or damage.

What is the torque specification for the mounting puck attachment screw?

Tighten the hex head screw to 7 N-m (62 lbf-in) when fastening the mounting puck to the downshaft adapter.

When should replacement locking rings be installed on transducer cables?

After routing cables through the shaft and into the shaft cap, install replacement locking rings as provided.

Where should you mount the LiveScope transducer bracket?

Mount the transducer so it will not interfere with stowing the trolling motor, and use only the hardware included in the kit.

What tool is needed to tighten the shaft base bolts, and to what value?

You need a torque wrench to tighten all six bolts to 4 N-m (35 lbf-in).

What precaution should be taken before opening the shaft cap?

Disconnect the motor from the power source before opening the shaft cap to prevent electrical hazards.

What precautions are needed when disconnecting cables inside the shaft cap?

Take care to avoid damaging cables or connectors when opening and disconnecting components in the shaft cap.

Can the LiveScope transducer be mounted on either side of the trolling motor shaft?

Yes, it can be mounted on either the starboard or port side of the trolling motor shaft.

It should not take more than 2-4 days to any European location, 3-6 days to any USA-based location, and 3-7 days worldwide.
