Check for leaks around any screw holes before leaving the boat in the water for extended periods.
Is software updating required when installing the transducer?
Yes, you must update the Garmin chartplotter software when you install this device.
Should the transducer be mounted parallel to the boat's centerline?
Yes, the transducer should be mounted parallel to the bow-stern axis of your vessel.
How should the transducer cable be routed?
Route the cable away from other wiring and engines, avoid pinching, use grommets for bulkheads, and secure with zip ties without over-tightening.

No, always operate the transducer when it is submerged. Operating in air may cause overheating and damage.
What should you do if the cable is not long enough?
If the cable is too short, you can purchase an extension cable from your Garmin dealer.
What cleaning products can be used on the transducer?
Clean with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Do not use solvents, power sanders, or pressure washers.
Should you use the cable to lift the transducer?
No, do not use the cable to pick up or pull the transducer, to prevent damage.
