The digital nautical instrument display of the GMI 20 unit is perfectly designed for sailing and motor boats. It has been designed to clearly show the depth, speed, wind direction and the more than 100 nautical and boat parameters. Its large bright 4" color screen with extra-large digits is easy to read from a distance and with a viewing angle of 170 degrees.
The glass with a vitrified finish prevents it from clouding and increases the level of contrast. Sunlight readability has been improved with a high-contrast color palette. For better night visibility, you can choose between a color palette in red/black, green/black or the normal night mode along with a light dimmer control. The screens can be set to the automatic scrolling mode, which automatically scrolls through the pages without you having to do anything. This is especially useful for navigators, since it allows them to install the unit or units in other locations of the boat. The default profiles can be customized to motorboat, sailboat, fishing, engine/fuel, in addition to many other user-specific profiles. The NMEA 2000® network is the one that provides power.
In addition, the GMI 20 unit has an exclusive countdown timer with internal beep. It includes 2 options of pressure covers of the trim piece that allow you to adjust the GMI 20 unit to the new GPSMAP® 500/700 series, GPSMAP 8000 with glass rudder or the previous Garmin plotters.
