FAQs

Is a fuse required for the relay switch installation?

A 1 Amp fuse should be installed on all relay controls at the positive input to the power source. The relay’s positive control (black) wire must connect through this fuse.

What are the wiring requirements for installing the OnDeck relay switch?

All connections must use proper electrical connectors, and bare wire connections exposed to moisture should be watertight. Use heat-shrink type butt connectors or other water-tight connections. If wire extension is needed, use a minimum of 24 AWG (0.08 mm²) wire.

Are there special safety procedures when installing the relay switch?

Always disconnect the vessel's power supply before installation. Wear safety goggles, ear protection, and a dust mask when drilling, cutting, or sanding.

Is any setup required after installing the relay switch?

Relay switches must be set up in the ActiveCaptain app after installation for remote control.

Are there any environmental mounting restrictions?

Install the relay switch and connected devices in a dry area. Do not expose to water or mount where flooding may occur.

Can the relay switch be submerged or installed below the waterline?

You must mount the device where it will not be submerged. For optimal performance, mount above the waterline and in a dry, ventilated area.

How should the relay switch be connected to power?

The relay's positive control (black) wire connects through a 1 Amp fuse to the positive side of the same power source as the GTB 10 device. Make sure relay and black box share the same positive source.

Is this relay switch intended for direct connection to high-current loads?

Each relay control wire is rated for up to 1 A. For higher-current loads, external relay switches are required. Do not connect these wires to the positive side of a power source.

Should relay switches be installed near sources of interference?

Mount at least 102 mm (4 in.) from cables and other potential sources of interference for optimal performance.

What are the mounting location requirements for the OnDeck relay switch?

Mount the relay switch in a location that is dry and not exposed to extreme temperatures, with adequate ventilation, and at least 102 mm (4 in.) from cables and interference sources.

How should I connect the load (device being switched) to the relay?

Connect the positive wire from the item's power cable to the relay’s negative load (blue) wire, and connect the relay’s positive load (yellow) wire to the positive terminal of the item’s power source.

We only use first-class delivery carriers, like UPS and DHL. There's an "Express Delivery" option for many shipping destinations available.

It should not take more than 2-4 days to any European location, 3-6 days to any USA-based location, and 3-7 days worldwide.

When you've placed your order, you can follow-up the shipping on the "My Account" section, with detail information about parcel status.

We will also notify you by email or SMS continously about each shipping activity.
