The GT8HW-IH is ideal if you want to install the transducer inside the fiberglass hull of sport fishing boats and not in the aft mirror, where cavitation could cause problems. The assembly must be done in a flat section of the hull and is excellent for boats that travel at high speeds and want to maintain accurate depth readings.
The 8-prong transducer includes a traditional CHIRP probe with a high frequency band (150-240 kHz) and has a power of 250 W. It can be used in conjunction with a GT30-TM transducer and an adapter cable to maintain depth readings at high speeds and scanning capabilities at working speeds.
For the installation, follow the instructions provided carefully to avoid damage to the boat.
