How do you secure the cable on a trolling motor installation?
Use waterproof tape to secure the transducer cable to the trolling motor shaft.
What maintenance is suggested for the GT56UHD-TM if storing the boat out of water?
Remove marine growth from the transducer and hardware, and clean as needed if the boat is removed from water for storage.
How should the GT56UHD-TM transducer be prepared for long-term water exposure?
To prevent marine growth, lightly sand the transducer and mounting hardware, wipe with isopropyl alcohol, then apply water-based antifouling paint.
Can the transducer cable be cut or shortened?
No, cutting the transducer cable will void your warranty. It should not be cut for any reason.
Where should the transducer cable be routed to minimize interference?
Route the cable away from ignition wires, batteries, and high-energy wires like radar, audio amps, and autopilot pump wires.
What is the best way to seal the cable if routed through the transom?
Fill the pass-through hole with marine sealant so it covers the cable completely and there is excess sealant around the hole and the cable.
Which side of the boat should the transducer be mounted on based on propeller rotation?
Mount on the starboard side if the propeller moves clockwise, or port side if it moves counter-clockwise when the boat moves forward.
Can the GT56UHD-TM transducer cable be extended?
Yes, but do not extend the cable more than 9 m (30 ft.) to avoid signal degradation. Use only Garmin approved extension cables.

We only use first-class delivery carriers, like UPS and DHL. There's an "Express Delivery" option for many shipping destinations available.
It should not take more than 2-4 days to any European location, 3-6 days to any USA-based location, and 3-7 days worldwide.
