Use appropriate thread sealant on all pipe threads in the hydraulic system, and install shut-off valves for easy pump removal if needed.

Beware of hot surfaces on the heat-sink, motor, and solenoid; risk of entrapment or pinching from moving parts when in use.

What safety warnings should installers be aware of during ECU installation?

Installers should wear safety goggles, ear protection, and a dust mask when drilling, cutting, or sanding, and check the opposite side before drilling.

What are the key wiring considerations for connecting the ECU?

The ECU connects to the boat battery using the included power cable, which can be extended if needed with the correct wire gauge.

Is a dedicated helm control required to operate the system?

A dedicated helm control is not required if the autopilot CCU is connected to the same NMEA 2000 network as a compatible Garmin chartplotter.

What tools and supplies are needed for installing the ECU and related components?

You’ll need tools including safety glasses, a drill and drill bits, wrenches, cutters/strippers, screwdrivers, cable ties, solder, marine sealant, and more.

What is the required power source for the ECU?

The ECU must be connected to a 12 to 24 Vdc power source. Use the correct wire gauge for extensions.

Are mounting screws included with the ECU?

Mounting screws are included with the ECU, but different screws may be needed depending on your mounting surface.

Is there a minimum fuse requirement for ECU power connection?

The appropriate fuse must be in place as indicated in the product specifications.

What is required for NMEA 2000 network setup?

If there isn't already a NMEA 2000 network, you can build one using the supplied cables and connectors. Connect the CCU and helm control to it.

Can the ECU be mounted in any orientation?

The ECU can be mounted on a flat surface, facing any direction, but must not be submerged or exposed to wash down.

Hur lång tid tar leveransen?

We only use first-class delivery carriers, like UPS and DHL. There's an "Express Delivery" option for many shipping destinations available.

It should not take more than 2-4 days to any European location, 3-6 days to any USA-based location, and 3-7 days worldwide.

When you've placed your order, you can follow-up the shipping on the "My Account" section, with detail information about parcel status.

We will also notify you by email or SMS continously about each shipping activity.
