Tighten all six bolts to 4 N-m (35 lbf-in) using a torque wrench.
What if printing your own mounting template?
It is recommended to use the mounting template that came in the product box and ensure printing at 100% scale if printing yourself.
How should locking rings be used on the LiveScope and GT56 transducer cables?
Replacement locking rings are provided, to be installed after cables are routed through the shaft and into the shaft cap.
Is it easier to install the propeller drive motor with a second person?
Yes, removing and reinstalling the motor is much easier with a second person or adjustable stand to support the motor.
Which parts should be kept safe for reassembling the skeg and nose cone?
You should keep all of these screws and parts in a safe place, because you must reinstall them when reassembling the skeg and nose cone.
What is recommended for verifying a printed mounting template for accuracy?
After printing the template, use a ruler to measure at least one dimension line to ensure the template printed to 100% scale.
What should be used to secure power cables inside the shaft cap?
Secure the power cables in the shaft cap using zip ties at the locations you removed them when disconnecting the power wires.
What size should the paper be if printing the mounting template?
The paper size must be larger than the template to ensure the cutout is correct for mounting.
What should be done with the original mounting screws during motor removal?
Dispose of the six original screws securing the propeller drive motor; new screws, washers, and O-rings are provided in the kit.
What safety precautions must be taken before servicing the trolling motor?
