HIGH-POWERED Radar
This 50-watt radar has a range from 20’ to 72 nautical miles, even in fog or rain. It offers rotation speeds of 24 RPM for reduced power consumption and 48 RPM for fast screen updates.
HIGH-RESOLUTION Radar
The 1.8-degree horizontal beamwidth provides a high-resolution image and high antenna gain to pick out even weak targets at a distance.
Motionscope Technology
MotionScope uses the Doppler effect to detect moving targets and highlight them in different colors so you can navigate around other boats or severe weather — or toward fishing spots where birds feed at the surface.
Intuitive Operation
This radar doesn’t have any complex user settings to deal with, so it’s easy to install and start using.

Yes, always apply marine sealant to any drilled hole after cables are installed to ensure a waterproof seal.
What should you check before drilling or cutting during installation?
Always check the opposite side of the surface to avoid damaging the vessel.

How should the radar be grounded?
Connect a 12 AWG copper wire from the pedestal ground connector to a water ground location, not the battery negative terminal, and coat connections with marine sealant.
What fuse requirements must be followed for power connections?
The radar power cable must retain its 15 A fuse. If using a voltage converter, include a 30 A fuse between the converter and the battery. Never remove the inline fuse.
Where should GPS antennas be installed relative to the radar?
GPS antennas should be either above or below the radar beam path to minimize interference.
Can the power cable be extended? What wire gauge should I use?
Yes. For 3m use 12 AWG, 5m use 10 AWG, 6.5m use 9 AWG, 8m use 8 AWG. Use crimp connectors with heat-shrink for water resistance.
How do I connect the radar to Garmin network systems?
Use the included Garmin BlueNet cable for BlueNet setups. For Marine Network-only systems, use a BlueNet to Marine Network adapter (P/N 010-12531-01 if not included).
Can the mounting template be reprinted if lost?
If you print the template, you must ensure correct scaling and a large enough paper size to avoid an incorrectly sized cutout.
How should I route and seal the power and network cables?
If drilling cable holes, use marine sealant to ensure a waterproof seal after routing. Decorative grommets can be used for appearance but must also be sealed.
What minimum distances should be observed from other equipment?
Mount the radar at least 1 m (40 in.) from transmitting equipment or cables carrying radio signals, and at least 2 m (6.5 ft.) from SSB radios. Keep at a distance from magnetic compasses as per the compass-safe value.
