Should power tools be used for installation?
Do not use power tools for assembly, as they may damage components and void the warranty. Use hand tools only.
What safety equipment should be worn during installation?
Always wear safety goggles, ear protection, and a dust mask when drilling, cutting, or sanding.
How should the opposite surface be checked during installation?
Before drilling or cutting, check the opposite side of the surface to prevent accidental damage to your vessel.
What must be checked for in the installation location?
Ensure deck strength for motor weight and force; installation area must be clear for motor movement. Reinforce if needed.
What tools are required for installing the quick release plate?
To install the quick release plate, you will need a drill with 11/32 in. (9 mm) bit, #3 and #4 Phillips screwdrivers, 7/16 in. (11 mm) and 1/2 in. (13 mm) sockets, and a torque wrench.
What torque setting is required when securing the mounting plate?
Tighten the nuts to a torque of 14.9 N-m (11 lbf-ft.) when securing the mounting plate to the deck.
What type and size of bolts are used for mounting?
Mounting requires countersunk 5/16-18 bolts (M8 x 1.25), preferably stainless steel. Use longer bolts if supplied ones aren't sufficient.

Use longer 5/16-18 (M8x1.25), countersunk, stainless steel bolts if the provided ones aren't sufficient for your mounting surface.
How do you ensure accurate use of the mounting template?
Use the template that came with the product. If printing, confirm scaling is 100% and the paper is large enough for the template.
What location is recommended for mounting the motor?
The motor should be mounted on the bow of your boat, with the mount overhanging the gunwale and as close to the center as possible.

We only use first-class delivery carriers, like UPS and DHL. There's an "Express Delivery" option for many shipping destinations available.
It should not take more than 2-4 days to any European location, 3-6 days to any USA-based location, and 3-7 days worldwide.
When you've placed your order, you can follow-up the shipping on the "My Account" section, with detail information about parcel status.
We will also notify you by email or SMS continously about each shipping activity.
