Description
Compatibility with corepack
This corepack works with the SeaStar Optimus systems, the Yanmar Marine ZT370 mixed motor electronic power steering systems and the ZF 2800 Pod drive systems. Requires a compatible Garmin plotter.
Ahrs of 9-AXIS solid state
The advanced 9-axis solid-state AHRS system allows you to install the Reactor 40 unit in virtually anywhere and orientation. It even reduces energy consumption, minimizes course errors and much more.
Ability to react to water conditions
Keep the course at sea: this autopilot reacts to the conditions, so you can maintain peace of mind even when nooing or rocking movements occur.
Simple calibration
All automatic pilots require a commissioning and calibration process. Reactor 40 makes it quick and easy.
Wireless remote functions
Control the autopilot from anywhere on the boat using your compatible Garmin devices, including the Reactor autopilot remote control, certain quatix® nautical watches and many more (requires a compatible Garmin plotter or a GHC 50 autopilot instrument).
FAQs
How is the steering direction tested and switched during installation?
During setup, test the rudder’s response left and right. If it turns in the opposite direction, use the Switch Direction option and retest.
How do you calibrate the compass outside of the wizard?
Select Autopilot Setup > Autopilot Installation Setup > Compass Setup > Compass Cal. > Begin and keep the boat steady and flat throughout.
Can configuration processes be run manually without wizards?
Yes, you can manually start configuration processes such as compass calibration, autotune, and set north from the Autopilot Setup > Installation Setup menu.
When is setting 'north' available and how is it performed?
The 'Set North' procedure is available if a compatible GPS is connected and acquired a position; drive straight, downwind, at cruising speed to align compass heading to COG.
How do you verify tachometer readings during setup?
With engines running, compare the helm control/chartplotter RPM readings with the boat dashboard tachometers; any mismatch may indicate a connection issue.
How should the Autotune procedure be conducted?
Conduct Autotune at typical cruising speed on open water. If unsuccessful, try at different speeds; follow on-screen prompts for alternate procedures.
Are there warnings regarding operating near hazards or with moving parts?
Use caution near docks, pilings, and other boats. Avoid entrapment or pinching from moving parts while autopilot is engaged or being configured.
Can the Dockside Wizard be run with the boat in or out of water?
The Dockside Wizard can be completed either in or out of the water. If in the water, the boat must be stationary.

How long will delivery take?
We only use first-class delivery carriers, like UPS and DHL. There's an "Express Delivery" option for many shipping destinations available.
It should not take more than 2-4 days to any European location, 3-6 days to any USA-based location, and 3-7 days worldwide.
