Overview

Zircon blocks help trimmers match sail shapes to new conditions immediately. At the core of the Zircon performance are industrial ceramic ball bearings mounted inside caged races. The cages keep these bearings separated so they don’t bunch, touch, and stop each other. The result is the most efficient small boat block Harken has ever made. Zircon blocks are available in 40- and 57-mm sheaves in single and double blocks, with or without beckets.

Use detergent and fresh water to clean the block and attachments.

How should the block be attached during installation?

Use lashing or loops secured to the head of the block, ensuring the lashing goes through both cheeks for secure holding.

Are there important installation cautions for lashing?

Yes, lash only through both cheeks so the lashing is holding the block together, not split apart. Incorrect lashing can cause failure.

What should be inspected for wear or damage during maintenance?

Inspect and replace worn, UV damaged, or compromised splices on lashings and attachment loops regularly.

Are there precautions when adding an extra block to the becket?

Any additional block should not bear more than 1/3 the load of the upper block. Do not use a fully loaded separate system.

Composite sheaves are insert-molded with low friction ceramic bearings mounted inside caged races.

Can a full-load separate system be used with the becket?

How long will delivery take?

We only use first-class delivery carriers, like UPS and DHL. There's an "Express Delivery" option for many shipping destinations available.

It should not take more than 2-4 days to any European location, 3-6 days to any USA-based location, and 3-7 days worldwide.
