HIGH-POWERED Radar
This 120-watt solid-state radar has a range from 20’ to 96 nautical miles, even in fog or rain. It offers rotation speeds of 24 RPM for reduced power consumption and 48 RPM for fast screen updates.
HIGH-RESOLUTION Radar
The 1.8-degree horizontal beamwidth provides a high-resolution image and high antenna gain to pick out even weak targets at a distance.
Motionscope Technology
MotionScope uses the Doppler effect to detect moving targets and highlight them in different colors so you can navigate around other boats or severe weather — or toward fishing spots where birds feed at the surface.
Intuitive Operation

FAQs
Are there important safety considerations during installation or when servicing the radar?
Installation by a qualified marine installer is recommended. Opening the device can cause injury and void the warranty. Do not look directly at the antenna at close range when transmitting.
How is the radar operated after installation?
All radar functions are controlled from your Garmin chartplotter. The radar requires the chartplotter's software to be updated.
How should cable routing holes be prepared and sealed?
Drill a hole up to 32 mm for routing cables. After installation, ensure waterproofing by applying marine sealant to the hole or optional grommet.
How do you prepare the vessel surface for radar mounting and wiring?
Use the included template to drill mounting holes. For wiring, drill a hole up to 32 mm in diameter for cable routing and seal with marine sealant for waterproofing.
How should the radar be grounded for safe and proper operation?
Connect a 12 AWG copper wire from the pedestal to a water ground, not the battery negative. Cover all ground connections with marine sealant.
Can you connect the radar directly to the boat battery?
Yes, you can connect directly if the radar was not packaged with a voltage converter. Always retain the in-line 15A fuse.
How do you secure the radar pedestal during mounting?
Insert primed threaded rods through the surface and radar base, then tighten hex nuts to 14.7 N-m (11 lbf-ft.) without damaging hardware.
How should radar power be fused?
The power cable incorporates a 15A fuse which must remain in place; if using a voltage converter, also include the 30A fuse between the converter and battery.
How is the antenna attached to the radar pedestal?
The antenna is slid onto the pedestal by aligning the waveguide, then secured using captive hex bolts. Tighten these bolts to 7.9 N-m (6 lbf-ft.) torque.
How should the radar be mounted to ensure optimal performance?
Mount the radar high above the keel, on a flat surface parallel to the water line, away from heat sources, and away from obstructions.
