Compatible with connection
GPSMAP plotters are fully compatible with the Garmin network and the NMEA 2000® network, in addition to NMEA 0183 technology.
Transfer of waypoints with gpx format
Easily transfer frequently used waypoints, tracks or routes from other devices using the industry-standard GPX software format.
Full network sharing
Compatibility with the Garmin network allows you to share probe data, maps, user data, data from closed antenna or open matrix radars and Panoptix and LiveScope probes between several units.
Connectivity with the engine
Controls RPM, fuel flow, temperature, adjustment and other important information. Check with the engine manufacturer if you have specific hardware needs.
POWER-POLE® Anchor for shallow areas
By connecting certain Garmin plotters with a Force® electric motor and a compatible Power-Pole shallow anchoring system, you can access advanced boat control functions3 from the plotter, such as automatic intelligent anchor deployment, intelligent anchor displacement, automatic retraction, clutch detection and anchoring at the end of the route when navigating with Auto Guidance1. You spend more time fishing and less positioning yourself.
Charging integration from POWER-POLE
Your Power-Pole CHARGE nautical power manager integrates with compatible Garmin plotters to give you more battery life and power in the water. It allows you to charge batteries on the go, monitor energy consumption, select where energy is allocated, control emergency starts and even transfer energy between batteries, all from the plotter screen.

How can I stream multiple video sources on the GPSMAP 1022 network?
Multiple supported video cameras can be connected. For best performance, Garmin recommends streaming no more than five video sources simultaneously.
What kind of cable is best for connecting to the Garmin Marine Network?
A shielded cable, such as CAT 5e F/FTP, is recommended for best protection when connecting to the Garmin Marine Network.
How can I troubleshoot if I cannot control my FLIR camera from the chartplotter?
Verify the correct video input source on the chartplotter is associated with the FLIR camera, and ensure the right camera was selected during association.
How do I associate a FLIR camera with a video input device on the chartplotter?
When a FLIR camera is detected, a prompt will guide you to select the device to complete the association. This can also be changed later from Video Setup.
How do I change the color or scene settings for a FLIR camera?
You can make these adjustments on the chartplotter via the video screen menu, including color scheme, scene (gain control), and polarity settings.
If my combination screen will not allow a second composite video source, what could be the issue?
Only one video function per combination can use a composite video input on the chartplotter. Configure accordingly for multiple video sources.
How do I configure camera angle and height for best tracking performance?
Adjust the Camera Angle (relative to the boat's bow) and Camera Height (above the heading sensor) for optimal results using small, incremental changes.
Should I use this device as the sole source for avoiding shallow water or collision?
No, depth data should be supplemented by charts and visual checks. Operate slowly in suspect areas to avoid vessel damage or injury.
