FAQs
How should the mounting template be used for installation?
Cut along the inside of the line on the mounting template for a correct fit, and do not use self-printed templates unless you ensure 100% scale accuracy.
Can I print my own mounting template?
It is not recommended; use the supplied template in the product box, or, if printing, ensure it is to 100% scale.
How do you adjust FLIR camera settings from the chartplotter?
You can change polarity, color scheme, and scene, and switch between thermal and visible views from the video screen’s menu.
How should the camera angle and height be set for tracking?
Adjust the Camera Angle to match how the camera faces relative to the boat's front, and set the Camera Height as how high it's mounted above the heading sensor. Small adjustments improve tracking.
How many video sources can I stream simultaneously for optimal network performance?
For best performance, it is recommended to stream no more than five video sources at the same time across your Garmin Marine Network.
How should I set camera angle and height for tracking features?
Adjust the Camera Angle value (relative to the vessel bow) and Camera Height value (above the heading sensor) in small steps for best tracking.
How do I change the video source associated with a FLIR camera?
From the video screen, select your FLIR camera, then Menu > Video Setup > Set Input to choose the video feed source.
What steps should I follow if video displays but I cannot control the FLIR camera?
Ensure the correct video input source is associated with the FLIR camera and you selected the correct camera for the chartplotter.
What warning is given regarding temperature when storing the device?
When storing for long periods, keep within the temperature range listed in the device manual.
How can I view multiple camera video streams on my chartplotter?
You can set up combination screens and view multiple video streams, but only one built-in video input is used per combination screen.
If I see video but can't control a FLIR camera, what should I check?
Ensure the correct video input source on the chartplotter is associated with the FLIR camera and that you've selected the correct camera during association.
Who do I contact for help with installation, servicing or advice?
Contact the SailRACE team — as certified marine experts we're happy to help with product selection, installation and after-sales servicing, before and after your purchase.
We only use first-class delivery carriers, like UPS and DHL. There's an "Express Delivery" option for many shipping destinations available.
