How can video cable types affect dual-payload FLIR camera installation?
With dual payload models, V/IR cables allow switching between daylight and infrared video, while IR-only cables provide just infrared video. For a single cable connection, use the V/IR cable.
Can slots instead of holes be used for nut plate installation?
It might be helpful to cut slots for the nut plates rather than holes, as this can make installation of the nut plates easier.
How should the adapter plate be attached to the mounting surface?

How do you know if a PoE device is safe to connect directly to the chartplotter?
Connecting a PoE device directly to a Garmin Marine Network chartplotter is not safe and can damage both devices. Use a Garmin PoE isolation coupler.
What steps should I follow if I cannot control my connected FLIR camera?
Verify you have selected the correct video input source and associated it with the FLIR camera in the chartplotter video setup.
How can I associate a FLIR camera with a video input device?
Select the FLIR camera from the Video Source menu and follow the prompt to form an association.
Should the device be used for precise navigation without other aids?
No. Always compare chartplotter information with all available navigation sources and resolve discrepancies before continuing.
