With the Garmin analog adapter for speed in the water and generic temperature NMEA 2000 on your boat, you can give new life to your old indicators and make the transition from an analog to a digital system. The easy-to-use adapter collects the data generated by traditional analog indicators and converts the data into an NMEA 2000 signal so that you can create and expand your network without replacing all the boat's equipment.
Connect to your network
With the Garmin GST 10 adapter, you can convert the analog information provided by a compatible water speed sensor, water temperature sensor or combined water speed and water temperature sensor (not included) of the boat and send it to the NMEA 2000 network. Thanks to the GST 10 adapter, it is easier to observe the information of water speed and water temperature on the compatible Garmin screens that you have connected to the NMEA 2000 network.

After installation, use your Garmin display device's NMEA 2000 Devices list to select GST 10 and assign the temperature source from menu options.
Can you use an extension between the GST 10 and sensor?
You cannot extend the cable connecting the GST 10 adapter to the sensor; the adapter must be installed within 173 in (4.4 m) of the sensor.
Is the GST 10 waterproof, and can it be submerged?
The GST 10 is IEC 60529 IPX7 waterproof and can be submerged up to 30 minutes at 1 meter, but should not be installed where it will be submerged regularly.
