Digital Yacht presents the GPS160, its new NMEA 0183 GPS antenna. This high-performance positioning sensor utilizes GPS, Galileo, and Glonass satellite systems to achieve exceptional positioning accuracy. The typical accuracy is approximately 1 meter, and the data output can be configured up to 18 Hz for smoother display on chartplotters.
Our TriNav technology combines signals from all three systems to calculate position with the highest accuracy and reliability. Galileo is the new Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) that has been developed over the past two decades.
The GPS160 is available with NMEA 0183 output (4800, 38400, or 115200 baud) and also in a USB version for PC, Mac, and Linux. For NMEA 2000 systems, there is a package with iKonvert, allowing easy installation on the NMEA 2000 network without requiring an NMEA 2000 cable. Additionally, SeaTalk and WiFi versions of the GPS160 are also available.
The GPS160 also supports the MOB (Man Overboard) function. When enabled, the GPS160 transmits an AIS Man Overboard alert via its NMEA output, which can be connected to a chartplotter to send and display the MOB alert on the screen.
